The Environmental Policy and the Health & Safety Policy are the drivers for how Columbia Power manages environment, health & safety. The Environmental, Health & Safety Management System (EHS MS) provides a documented system to guide our ongoing management of environmental and health & safety risks, provides a basis for due diligence, and allows us to achieve continual improvement. Columbia Power has developed an integrated EHS management system that is consistent with internationally recognized standards, ISO 14001 (environment) and OHSAS 18001 (health & safety). They specify requirements for establishing policies, determining risks associated with products/activities/services, development of objectives and measurable targets, implementation and operation of programs to meet objectives and targets, checking and corrective action, and management review.
